I've traveled many times as a front-seat passenger where I didn't take a camera along only to see things I wish I could have captured. I once saw a perfect cloud formation of Jesus Christ looking right at me while traveling back from a camping trip with a long-time friend. To this day it's difficult for me to even mention that since I don't have any proof of that experience and sadly, I couldn't even tell my friend who was driving about it because I knew he would have laughed and scoffed at me since he was a adamant agnostic. Actually, I did think about getting his attention long enough to have him take a glance but by the time I looked at him after seeing the aparition then turning back to look again, it was breaking apart and losing it's perfect formation.
I realized long ago that image of Christ in the clouds was not meant to be photographed... it was God's way of reaching out to me during a time in my life that I needed it most. Still, that image has stayed with me like as if it was yesterday. Can you imagine what would have happened if I had a camera ready in my hands to photograph it as it occurred? I'm certain that would have changed the entire outlay of mine and other's people's lives.
That's what I'm talking about... about having a camera in your hands and turned-on ready to go should anything appear before your eyes that could possibly change your or other people's lives. You never know when it's going to happen, but you can certainly be ready if it does! I'll ask the question again, Can you imagine what will happen if you have a camera ready in your hands to photograph it as it occurs?
Now, next time you packing and getting your things ready for a road trip, you'll hopefully remember my words and remember to take your camera along and have it ready in your hands to capture some cool and exciting photos of the experience. So, as you're traveling along and have the camera in your hands and ready to shoot, you might as well keep your eyes open and shoot at whatever things catch your attention, you're bound to catch something unique and interesting! Even if something spectacular doesn't happen, you'll be certain to see and capture images you don't get to see everyday and you can share them with others to talk about the experience.
